Google AI Glasses : Is This the Start of the Screen-Free Computing Era?

 

Google already have a experience of smart glasses in 2013, that glasses were looking so odd and the display which was makes us feels in the science fiction film. At that time it was way more ahead. So, That attempt was failed and gave up.

After this AI boom, in this era people using and experienced well with a AI. This make them to interact AI on day to day basis. Artificial intelligence is as a part of them.

And now the Meta and Ray ban collaboration caught so successful and their sequel were releasing one by one. Google also came to know that this is the time to enter into this vast field with a new partnership Gentle monster (south Korean company) and Warby parker  who are all already existed in the spectacle and sunglasses manufacturing industry. For operating system side, Google already provides a Android XR for Samsung galaxy XR headset (virtual reality headset). We clearly came to know that these glasses have the same operating system (os) which is well optimized for smart AI glasses.

Finally it’s not at all a rumour, according to the Google's blog post, they will launch their own AI functionalized smart glasses on 2026.

This time Google’s glass may give a tough competition to their competitors with their strong build and design. All their competitors were a well known tech giants like Meta,

They might have planned to launch a two models altogether, one will have a camera attached and speakers for assistance placed at the side of the temple, and it will AI powered Gemini integrated.

And another one will definitely have a in display functionality which can assist us by turn by turn directions and music playing controls as like a Meta Ray ban Display glass model.

They have already build in the name of Project Aura, a wired and heavy glasses for entertainment and streaming videos with the power of Android XR. We hope that the new product would be a far more enhanced design and build. Why because Meta Ray ban already set the trends of Smart Glasses.

We can expect in 2026 heavy competition among Google, Apple and Snap in the queue to launching a AI powered smart glasses. These familiar brands product may have a start for the future which will make a hands free computing.
